I am happy to announce the release of the a new Oblivion Sound Lab soundset, Paradiso, a collection of 100 new sounds for u-he Diva that explore the intersection between Italo disco, space disco and synthwave.
I have touched on Italo influences in the past – notably in Neon Circuits and Neon Circuits 2 – but this time I have gone down the Italo rabbit hole, taking inspiration from pioneering 1980s artists such as Kano, Cyber People, Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley, as well as contemporary producers and labels who are keeping the Italo spirit alive, like Todd Terje, Fred Ventura and Bordello A Parigi. As such, the bank contains a selection of classic tones from the heyday of Italo disco, alongside brand new patches that put a fresh spin on the synth disco sound.
For those of you who are new to Italo disco I have prepared a playlist to get you up to speed with some of the genre’s most influential tracks. Enjoy!
Until November 7 Paradiso is available for the introductory price of $20 (20% off).
